The charity that will supported during Celebrating Bletchley Park is Save The Children, through the help of its Chelsea and Westminster branch.
Save The Children works in 120 countries to save children’s lives, fight for their rights, and help them fulfill their potential.
In 2014, the charity helped 17.4 million children through their world-class programmes. Assistance has been given to alleviate emergencies, malnourishment and poverty, and to help with education, health and child protection.
For every £1 received, Save The Children spends 88p on their activities to benefit children, 11p to help raise the next £1, and 1p on governance and other costs.
Among other activities, the Chelsea and Westminster Branch annually raises hundreds of thousands of pounds at its “Christmas Cocktail” held in Chelsea Town Hall, and has a programme of other public events planned for 2016.
