When coming to Celebrating Bletchley Park, certain practical information about transport, local accommodation and catering will be useful to you.

Here are some links that might help you. Where we’ve linked to other businesses, these are most often organisations we have personal experience of, but we can’t be responsible for their own services to you.

ACCOMMODATION
Large chain-type hotels are few and far between in this part of East Sussex, but there are many independent choices. We have now placed accommodation information on a separate page
TRANSPORT
By far the most practical method of approaching Firle village is by road. Click here to see maps, and also details of the bus service from Eastbourne to Lewes, which runs through Firle. There are no buses on Sundays.

Many taxi companies work from Lewes, Eastbourne and other nearby towns. Click here for information on how to contact their drivers.

RAILWAY
National Rail’s journey planner allows you to book train tickets to Lewes (four miles west of Firle) from anywhere in Britain. On both days of our festival, railway passengers from London will take the final part of their journey on a comfortable luxury coach. This is because engineering work on the railway south of Three Bridges has just been announced (as of 2nd March 2016). Therefore, if you are coming via the Brighton Main Line (basically, from London Victoria and stations south of this terminus), the good news is that there will still be a service. But you should add 35 minutes onto your travelling time if your journey involves travelling through Three Bridges. All other services to Lewes, including those along the South Coast lines, will run as normal.
CATERING
We offer full catered and practical lunches for guests who have booked in advance. Click here for details. Many country pubs in this area offer wholesome menus of varying kinds. Click here to read about some establishments that we know well.
