MARGY KINMONTH is a documentary film-maker, and is the grand-daughter of Admiral Godfrey, Director of Naval Intelligence 1939–1942.

Admiral Godfrey was one of the founders of the wartime codebreaking Margy-Kinmouthoperations at Bletchley Park. Ian Fleming, the creator of the James Bond novels, was a personal friend of the admiral, at one time working for him in Naval Intelligence, and based his character “M” on him.

Both Margy Kinmonth’s mother and grandmother also worked at Bletchley Park, with her mother’s service being in Hut 3, assisting the codebreaking process. Margy will speak about her family’s secret work at Bletchley Park during World War II.
